Sheriff Oversight in California: Balancing Power with Responsibility is co-hosted by the League of Women Voters of California, ACLU of Northern California, and numerous county coalitions including the Sheriff Oversight Coalition of Alameda County. The lead-off speaker will be Assemblymember Kevin McCarty, who authored AB 1185, and there will also be a panel of experts on civilian oversight of the Sheriff.
