Full House at LWVP's Annual Holiday Luncheon
pics from 2023 Holiday Luncheon
We had a full house for the LWVP Annual Holiday Luncheon, held earlier today at the Piedmont Center for the Arts. Guest Speaker, former Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, spoke about mentoring young women, some of her successes as Mayor of Oakland, and her plans for the future. Her talk was followed by an engaging question and answer session where Ms. Schaaf answered questions ranging from school funding to current crime rates.

This Annual Fundraiser is an important part of the League of Women Voters budget and supports our educational events and voter outreach. Thank you to all who attended! If you were unable to attend, but would like to make a donation to our work, you can do so here.

Take Action
Urge Congress to Address the Climate Crisis and Protect Our Youth
Support the Children’s Fundamental Rights and Recovery Resolution
youth climate march with There Is No Planet B sign

Climate change and its effects threaten the physical, psychological, and economic well-being of our nation. It disproportionately impacts vulnerable communities, including youth, that have contributed the least to climate change-causing emissions.

Urge your Members of Congress to cosponsor the Children’s Fundamental Rights and Recovery Resolution to address climate change and protect our youth’s rights and future!
